I’m irritated; I’m anxious, and I’m depressed! I have headache and appetite loss. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I’m not PMS-ing. This is how I feel whenever I hear the sugar family names. Regardless of the issue that I’m not a dessert lover, I am just not mentally equipped to hear the words Sugar, Sweets, and Honey! Or worse to hear them from a guy /potential boyfriend.
No matter how these words attempt to make me feel lovely, yet this feeling doesn’t fit under my skin. So dear guys: Never manipulate me with these pet names; it is an insult for my IQ level. Now I think am sure that when a guy uses such words is probably because he forgot my name, and when he forgets my name there is a higher chance that he is not interested.
And honestly, I don’t have this luxury of time to interpret what lies behind these words or to figure out your true intentions; and I don’t care whether it is a habit or a lifestyle, my main concern is that whenever you want to communicate with me just use my name. Obviously, my mom and dad struggled 9 months to finally choose and agree on my name. It was mission impossible. Literally! It required a lot of hard work, research, and compromises! I would appreciate you appreciating their efforts.
So let’s agree on this: sugar, sweets, and honey are never an effective communication tool between you and me. One more thing; I’m a sugar free person. I’m on diet.
To the guys who made me write this: Thank you for being an inspiration 😉
